What Does The King Edward VI Five Ways School 11 Plus Entrance Examination Consist Of?

The King Edward VI Five Ways 11 Plus entrance examination usually consists of two test papers that each last approximately sixty minutes with individually timed sections that include:

 

  • Verbal Reasoning

  • English Comprehension

  • Non-Verbal + Spatial Reasoning

  • Mathematics

 

The English Comprehension paper tests your child's comprehension skills and understanding and so my English tutoring classes cover all skills required for the exam.

 

The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam assesses logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.

The mathematics paper for entry to King Edwards VI Five Ways covers an array of arithmetic and problem solving skills including stats, algebra, geometry and measurement, all of which I cover in my 11+ and maths tuition classes.

 

All of the questions in the King Edwards VI Five Ways entrance examination are multiple choice with scores being age-standardised to make it fair for all students across the age ranges.
